This particular service is for parents and caregivers who are seeking advocacy and support for them and their child's ARD (Admission, Review, Dismissal). During our consultation, we will informally assess your student and discuss the related services, accommodations, and other school support you desire for your child with a disability.
We will also attend the ARD meeting with you, if requested.
During this session, we will work intensively on preparing your child for success on the Texas state assessments.
During this session, the first half will be spent observing your child in their natural environment with no interventions from the behavior specialist. The following time will be spent discussing observations, analysis, your behavior goals for your child, and strategies to help them meet those goals.
During this session, we will look at your child’s IEP and/or FIE and discuss whether the goals, schedule of services, and supportive services (i.e Speech and Occupation therapy) are appropriate.
During this session, we will write specific, measurable, assignable, relevant, and time-based (SMART) goals catered to you and your child’s interest.
During this session, we will work specifically on strategies and techniques that may work to encourage progress and improvement toward your child’s academic, behavior, and social goals.
During this session, your behavior specialist will work with your child on their behavior goals, as well as provide strategies for the family on how to help your child adjust to their environment.
This is our signature service. In your first session, we will discuss academic, behavioral, and social goals you have for your child, what you have implemented, and challenges or roadblocks you have encountered. We will then set up a 30, 60, and 90-day game plan for accomplishing the high-priority goals we develop.
